I received my ponyboots from Dave (aka Pony) from PonyPlayRanch. I am sorry to complain but I am disappointed with the way the fabric is cut. It could have been cut smoother and that would make the boot look so pretty. ..
But the really good news is that these ponyboots are very comfortable and they look so much like real pony hooves. The fact that they are so comfortable just makes me forgive the brutal cutting on the fabric.
The next update on my ponygirl website (Nov 2, 2010) will show me wearing the ponyboots for the very first time. I wore them for the entire session which lasted about 1 hour with no problem at all. Actually, the hoof boots are really stable and so I felt confident on pavement and on the grass.
Dave did tell me that working with PVC is more difficult than working with leather. I asked specifically for PVC because I wear a lot of latex and wanted to match. I think if I asked for leather boots they might not have been so challenging for him to make. I’d be very interested to hear if anyone buys his new generation ponyboots in leather and what their opinion is.
Here are 3 pics for you to see as a special sneak peek! 🙂
